Different adjustment methods take different time and efficiency, and are also different in convenience. There are three main adjustment methods of pad type, wedge type and hydraulic cylinder type.
1. Pad Type Jaw Crusher
The adjusting pad is generally located behind the toggle base in the adjusting seat. When the discharge port needs to be adjusted, the number of backing plates can be increased or decreased, and the total thickness of the backing plates can be changed, so that the front and back positions of the toggle plates are changed, and the front and back positions of the lower part of the movable jaw are moved to realize the change of the discharge port size.

The adjustment pad is inserted from the rear of the crusher, the pad is shorter in length and lighter in weight. The operating space of the operator is limited, and it is not convenient to replace the backing plate.

The adjusting backing plate is inserted from the side plate of the crusher. The backing plate is longer and heavier. The operating position of the operator is better and safer.
The adjustment of the backing plate is relatively simple, but it is often inconvenient. It is difficult to add or subtract the backing plate to adjust the discharge opening. It needs to be placed close to the crusher, which takes up space on the one hand and prevents loss on the other hand. It cannot be adjusted steplessly, and cannot be adjusted automatically by hydraulic means.
2. Wedge Block Type Jaw Crusher
The wedge block type adjusting device is mainly composed of two identical wedge blocks. The wedge block is located behind the bracket seat in the adjusting seat, and the inclined surfaces of the two wedge blocks are relatively attached together. By changing the relative position of the two wedge blocks, the total thickness of the wedge block pair can be changed, so that the front and back positions of the brackets can occur. Change, move the front and rear positions of the lower part of the movable jaw to realize the change of the size of the discharge opening.
Mechanical adjustment
The mechanical adjustment method is that the movement of the wedge block is realized by manually rotating the adjustment screw. The adjusting screw is located on both sides of the crusher. One end of the adjusting screw is connected with the wedge block through a pin shaft, and is installed on both sides of the side plate of the crusher frame by means of adjusting nuts and supports. When you need to adjust the discharge opening, use a wrench to turn the screw on both sides of the frame to pull the wedge block, change the relative position of the two wedge blocks, and then change the total thickness of the wedge block to achieve the purpose of adjusting the size of the discharge opening.
Hydraulic adjustment
The hydraulic adjustment method is to change the adjustment screw in the mechanical adjustment method to a hydraulic cylinder, and the adjustment of the tension spring is also realized by the hydraulic cylinder, so that the automatic adjustment of the discharge port is realized, which is convenient and labor-saving.
3. Hydraulic Cylinder Type Jaw Crusher
The hydraulic cylinder discharge port adjustment device is equivalent to installing a large cylinder in the middle of the toggle plate, so that the length of the toggle plate can be steplessly adjusted to change the front and rear positions of the movable jaw to realize the adjustment of the size of the discharge port. .
The discharge opening adjustment device of this structure can not only automatically adjust the size of the discharge opening, but also realize the functions of iron passing and cavity cleaning, which is convenient for operation and reduces labor intensity.
However, the manufacturing cost of this type of jaw crusher will be higher, and higher requirements for the operation and maintenance skills of the workers are put forward.
